Why
do I need hosting?
In order for your website to be viewed over the Internet, you must
have space set up on a server for the files to reside and a domain
name for people to use to get to the site. This is what hosting
provides -- web space and an address for your site, as well as email
accounts and other useful features.
What is FTP?
FTP stands for file transfer protocol and is used for transferring
files from one computer to another (a personal computer to a web
server). You will need an FTP program if you are planning on making
updates to your web site yourself. A popular program is Cute FTP. Many
web design programs such as Front Page also have a built-in FTP. You
will also need an FTP account set up on your web server in order to
log in to the server to upload files.
What are my payment options?
CWH currently only accepts checks or Pay Pal as payment for
services. All hosting services are required to be prepaid either
monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or yearly. Prepay for a year and
get two months free (that's 12 months for the price of 10!).
How do I cancel my account?
If you would like to cancel your hosting account, you must provide a
written notice of cancellation no later than 15 days prior to your
next billing date. Your billing date is shown on your hosting
invoice. We will confirm your cancellation after we receive your
notice. At this time, we cannot offer refunds on cancellations.
